Alongside the beauty of life comes the reality of the problems, struggles, and the circumstances that we face everyday and every season. Lying within those problems are questions and assumptions of what tomorrow holds. What if the worst happens? what if I do not pass the board exams? what if I cannot recover from this sickness and the pain that I am facing today? And with these clouds of uncertainties and what ifs, the defining question is, “Will God be enough?”.
Yes, God is enough, He always will be. “Let us trade our irrational fears of an uncertain future for the loving assurance of an unchanging God.” That is our prayer, that amidst the what ifs, comes a heart that welcomes every circumstances with the assurance that God is still God and He is powerful and sovereign above all the things happening in our lives. We may or may not find the answers to some of our questions regarding our life circumstances in this lifetime. But even if, we are called to praise and worship God in all circumstances. Habakkuk in his lament and prayer closes the chapter with these beautiful verses;
“…yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will take joy in the God of my salvation.”
(Habakkuk 3:18)
